Certify

Already migrated with a free tool? Prove it to your auditors.

Lakebridge, Cortex conversion, and BigQuery Migration Service get you to the target. What they cannot give a risk committee is an independent check: someone who did not do the conversion, comparing every row, and signing the result. MigryX runs that comparison, signs the evidence, and keeps the lineage after the vendor tool is gone.

Why the platform's own check is not enough

Platform reconcile features compare tables inside one platform, run by the same vendor whose tool did the conversion. Audit asks for three things they do not produce.

Independent

The comparison is run with a separate engine by a party that did not write the converted code, and it can be re-run on demand when the auditor asks.

Signed and portable

An Atlas evidence pack: as-of lineage, mappings, parity scorecard, verifiable signature. It lives outside Unity Catalog, Cortex, and Dataplex, so it survives the free tool being switched off. What is in the pack →

Run it before the source is switched off. Certify compares converted output against original output for the same inputs. That needs the SAS, Informatica, or Teradata environment still producing results, or an archived set of original outputs with the inputs that made them. Once the legacy license lapses, the comparison can no longer be run. If the renewal is inside six months, start with the pilot now.

What you get, what we need

You get

  • Parity report per workload: row, column, and aggregate.
  • Exception report with a disposition on every mismatch.
  • Signed Atlas evidence pack, re-runnable on request.
  • Column-level lineage of the converted program.
  • A readout your risk, audit, or model-validation team can take into the committee.

We need

  • Converted output and original output for the same inputs, or a run in your environment.
  • Keys, tolerances, and acceptance thresholds agreed before we start.
  • Read access to the target catalog for lineage.
  • No source code is converted on a certify engagement.

Against free platform tooling

Free tools handle the SQL. MigryX handles the rest.

Lakebridge, Cortex conversion, and BigQuery Migration Service win on dialects they already read. We lead on the sources they do not fund, the evidence auditors accept, and lineage that outlives the vendor tool.
