This program is free. It is provided by Migryx. It is not for sale.
You may not sell it, rebrand it, or claim it as your own.

What it does
The tool reads a file or a folder and writes one HTML report of how
completely those files can be parsed. It does not convert workflows
and it does not generate SQL.

The report shows, for each file:
Confidence how much of the file is in the parser catalog
Complexity simple, medium, high, very high, or very very high
MCU the figure used for a purchase quote
SQL / Python how much of the file fits SQL, and how much needs Python

guide.html explains each score and lists the file types that are read
and the file types that are skipped.

How to run
Python 3.12 . No extra packages are required.

From the folder that contains this readme:

  python -m assessment PATH

PATH is a file or a folder. A folder is scanned recursively.
The report is written to reports\<name>.html

Choose the report file name:

  python -m assessment PATH -o summary.html

A bare file name is placed in the reports folder.
A full path is used as given.

Skip a technology. Repeat the flag to skip more than one:

python -m assessment PATH --skip talend

If you are running from the source folder instead of this package,
set the module path first.

  Windows Command Prompt:
    set PYTHONPATH=src
    python -m assessment PATH

  Windows PowerShell:
    $env:PYTHONPATH = "src"
    python -m assessment PATH
